name Katy Perry, is an American
singer and songwriter. Born in Santa Barbara, California, in her childhood, she
often sang in church. She then pursued lines of Gospel music in ages. She signed
agreement to Red Hill Records and
released their debut album Katy Hudson at age 16 (2001), however, the album
failed to meet business. The next year, she moved to Los Angeles and teamed
with producer Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke and Max Martin. After moving into stage name Katy Perry and is The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records release, she signed a
recording contract with Capitol Records in April in 2007.
