  Selena Marie Gomez (born July 22, 1992) is an American singer and actress. She started her career from the program Barney & Friends. Selena is known with her role as Alex Russo in the television series Wizard of Waverly Place on Disney Chanel. She also participated in the movie as Another Cinderella Story, Princess Protection Program (2008), Romona and Beezus (2010), Monte Carlo (2011), and Spring Breakers (2013).
Her career has expanded into music, her first solo album: Stars Dance topped the Billboard 200, and the single Come & Get It also reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. In 2008, Selena Gomez was appointed a UNICEF Googwill Ambassador.
In December, 2016, Selena is who many people follow most on social network instagram. Selena brought about many awards during his career, including  the ALMA Award, Billboard Women in Music award, MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards, People’s Choice Award, and  fifteen awards Teen Choice Awards.
Selena is described as a pop singer, and performed dance-pop genre, combined with EDM. When her career was developing, she has tested many types of music. Her first album with the band The Scene inspired by electronic rock and pop rock, her later recordings with the band as well as dance-pop. A Year Without Rain has the characteristic of synth-pop, and When the Sun Goes Down took on more electropop. The her song Stars Dance are derived from the EDM-pop, and Selena described as “baby dubstep”, with elements from various categories such as electronic, disco, techno, or dancehall.
