Gates is
the famous businessman about personal computer revolution. Although, there
are many people to admire, also there are a lot of competitors criticism his
business tactics which they though unfair competition or monopoly and his
company had to bear some of the litigation. In during the period near the end
of his career, Gates has pursued a number of philanthropic endeavor, donating
huge amount and advocated for charitable organizations and scientific
research through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, founded in 2000.
Gates
has resigned as CEO of Microsoft since January 2000, but he remains as
president and chief of the software in corporations. June 2006, Gates
communicated he would only spend a part of time to work for microsoft and more
time for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Bill gradually shifted
location to the chief architect Ray Ozzie, and director of strategic location
and research to Craig Mundie. The
final workday for Microsoft’s Gates is June 27, 2008. He still holds the
position of Microsoft’s president but not
operations group.
In 1980, IBM through
Microsoft to write a BASIC interpreter for personal computer are coming out of
them is the IBM PC. When representatives of BIM mention they need an operating
system in their computers, Gates referend the to Digital Research (DRI), the
company wrote the operating system CP/M was widely used at that time. The
agreement between IBM and Digital Research results are not expected, and the
two sides have not reached an agreement on copyright registration. IBM’s
representative Jack Sams is the

between him and Bill Gates and told him to give and acceptable operating
system. A few weeks later, Gates proposed using 86-DOS (QDOS), an operating
system similar to CP/ M by Tim Paterson of the company Seattle Computer
Products (SCP) written for the hardware have the same feature as the PC.
Microsoft made a deal with SCP to become the exclusive licensing agent, and
late the full owner of 86-complete DOS, apter upgrading the OS to suit the PC,
Microsoft delivered it to IBM PC-DOS called the chaefes once the exchange is
$50,000. Gates does nor offer the ability to transfer copyright of the
operating system, because he believed that other hardware manufactures will
produce PC based on the IBM models. And right so, because a huge sharing of
MS-DOS made Microsoft becomes largest software company in the software

which the combined company in the state of Washington and Gates became
